Mark is an owner and founder of COMPAX. Mark moved to Utah when he returned from his Church mission in Japan over 20 years ago, and has been an influential part of the Salt Lake Valley community ever since. He built his business in Salt Lake, raised five beautiful children (Jade, Becca, Keslie, Whitney, Camille), and consistently donates his time. Mark currently serves as a member of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. He’s likely most proud of teaching his business partner, Dennis Devine, how to ski.
As the owner of a plastics manufacturing plant, Mark has always been grounded in regards to his environmental impact. He knows that someone has to make plastics to meet consumer demands, and he’s happy that he can impact how responsibly that manufacturing is done. Mark feels that the public needs to be more informed about how they consume and how to best recycle, which is why he supports the work of REDO. In his free time, Mark enjoys skiing at Snowbird, and spending time with his friends and family. He is still a huge celebrator of Japanese culture (sushi!), and loves to experience other new cultures and foods.
